Full-time Custodial Position

The Tucker County Commission is accepting applications for a full-time, benefited custodial position. We are in search of a dependable, detail-oriented person who takes pride in creating a clean, safe environment that is welcoming for employees and public guests.  A high school diploma or equivalent preferred, previous custodial or janitorial experience a plus, requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods, must be able to work independently, be a team player, and be reliable.

Enhanced 911 Fees Notice from the Public Service Commission of WV

The Public Service Commission has increased the wireless enhanced 911 fee (WE911 Fee) from $3.64 to $4.01 per month, per subscriber, to become effective July 1st, 2025. For July 2025, and each month thereafter, commercial mobile radio service (CMRS) providers will be and collect a $4.01 WE911 fee, an $0.08 wireless tower fee, which must be shown separately on the subscriber’s bill, and a $0.29 public safety wireless fee, which must be shown separately on the subscriber’s bill. The total of the separately billed fees shall be $4.38 per month from each service subscriber. To read the entire announcement document, please click here.

Tucker County Commission Imposes 2% Special Emergency Ambulance Service Fee Ordinance

The Tucker County Commission has approved a 2% fee on recreational and entertainment activities within the county, effective January 1, 2025. This small but important fee will apply to activities such as skiing, snowboarding, short-term rentals, water sports, guided tours, and more. The revenue generated will provide essential funding for our Emergency Medical Services (EMS), ensuring reliable and timely emergency care for both residents and visitors.
